Welcome to Holistic Nutrition!

The majority of chronic conditions are due to imbalances caused by poor diet, lack of exercise, unhealthy habits, stress, and environmental factors. Genetics do play a role, but according to Epigenetics, certain genes can be switched on or off.

Although there's no magic pill or one-size-fits-all when it comes to our health, there are certain fundamentals to follow for good health. My approach to this includes Food, Hydration, Movement, Relaxation, & Fun.

The Nutritionist's role in Nutritional Therapy:

The client's role in Nutritional Therapy:

The client's role is to be committed to their personal health, gain the knowledge of what it takes to live a healthful lifestyle, focus on the recommendations of Food, Hydration, Movement, Relaxation, and Fun as discussed, and to adopt a positive mindset.

Blood Labs & Analysis: Why have me order and analyze your labs? As a Blood Chemistry Specialist, I don't just look at the numbers and say "Good to go!" just because they're "in range". I look for patterns that show imbalances and dysfunction. The typical allopathic lab ranges are fairly broad, so an imbalance can appear to be "normal", however, our ranges are tighter, so an imbalance can be seen before it becomes a diagnosable pathology, such as diabetes or hypothyroidism.

*Although nutrition plays a very important role in mental health, any mental, behavioral, or emotional disorders should be evaluated by a licensed mental health practitioner prior to beginning any program. If appropriate, HiH can communicate with your mental health therapist to design a nutrition plan that works cohesively with your therapy.
