The color of your urine can give you quite a bit of information, as shown above. Color is not the only thing you can learn from a Urine Test Strip. It can also let you let you know if it contains amounts of protein, bilirubin, white blood cells, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Urobillinogin, nitrite, uric acid, ketones, albumin, as well as, the pH of your urine. These markers may offer insight to varying issues that could possibly be of concern.

A Urine Test Strip* can give you a few quick insights. Also check to see if there is visible debris in your urine or if it is cloudy.

*This is not a diagnostic test, and is not a substitute for a medical urinalysis.

Our poop (aka stool) can tell us a lot about how we're digesting the foods we eat, the health of our colon, and if there may be an overgrowth of not so beneficial bacteria or other issue that may be causing some uncomfortable symptoms.​

What stool color may indicate:

• Brown: Healthy
• Black: Gastrointestinal bleeding, or taking iron supplements.
• Maroon: Gastrointestinal bleeding, see doctor asap.
• Bright Red: Possibly rectal bleeding, an inflammatory condition, ulcerative colitis, tumor, speak with your doctor. If you ate beets for dinner, recheck next poop.
• Green: Possible bacterial infection, or irritable bowel.
• Yellow: May indicate Celiac disease, or pancreatitis.
• Tan/White/Clay: May mean liver, bile, gallbladder, or pancreas issues.

Check your stool every time you go. It should look like a smooth, brown banana, without any food particles or gelatinous/fatty substances on it.

If your stool is any other color than BROWN, discuss with your doctor.​
